We were more than thrilled to participate in a totally magnificent experience some months ago. In front of us we had the opportunity to sponsor a young athlete in his journey for success in sailing. The sailing competition took place between 09 and 10 of May, 2015 and was organised by the Cyprus Sailing Federation. So, with no much further ado, we present to you our young and skilful sailor, Constantinos Michael.

Constantinos is aged 11, and is absolutely passionate about sailing. This is the spark we saw in him, and we truly couldn’t resist being by his side as his proud sponsors, as we share the same passion for our new product, the myGRILL Chef SMART grill. So, it did not take us long to reach the decision and our myGRILL boat set sail in Cyprus glowing blue waters with Constantinos setting the sail!

The competition was organised be Begafigo. The club was founded in 2002 to promote sailing in the ideal conditions of the East coast of Cyprus, giving opportunities to experience the thrill and friendship that only sailing can bring. In 2005 was awarded an athletic recognition by Cyprus Sports Organization and in 2006 was honored by the Cyprus Sailing Federation for its contribution in spreading the sport and expanding sailing tournaments in Cyprus.

The day flew by with much enthusiasm, and of course… recreational ‘anxiety’ as to which place our young athlete would earn. But however, regardless of his ranking he is a true champion for us, as he chose such a demanding sport, and has both the energy and persistence to rank amongst the best.

Constantinos, finally ranked 9th from a total of 49 entries, in the A Ranking List Optimist 2015 which was a major achievement for him! We truly congratulate him and we are sure that we will see him in far more better rankings in the near future, while we believe that his hard work will pay off with far more better results in the distant future.
